Let's say, for example, you have a Selector 100. Grab any DVD/CD from your cluttered stack and place into the first empty slot, Slot 1 in this case. Then, enter the title of that DVD/CD into the software under 01. You repeat this process until you run out of DVD's (or storage space - if this happens please visit Discgear.com).
Once you have completed this, click any column header to sort your DVD's alphabetically. For example, sort by
Artist to quickly find your CDs.
Don't worry if the numbers aren't in numerical order.
Here's why:
If you had your discs arranged in actual alphabetical order inside of your units:
01 - Amadeus
02 - Beetlejuice
03 - Casablanca
04 - Dumb & Dumber
...
87 - Zoolander
When you purchase a new DVD, "Batman Begins" for example, you would have to
physically move every disc you had after Slot 01, down one. This is not
the way we intended the units to be used. Instead, if you place them in
any order inside of your units, and creat alphabetized disc indexes or titlesheets.
01 - Amadeus
88 - Batman Begins
02 - Beetlejuice
03 - Casablanca
...
87 - Zoolander
The alphabetized list makes it
easy to find your DVD's, and all you have to do is move your Selector
knob to the appropriate number to get it! When you add a
new DVD, you can add it to the next empty slot, and all you would have to do
is create a new titlesheet!

Wish you had said that in the beginning and saved me a lot of time trying to figure it out. Now, all I have to do is figure out how to make the list of DVDs I'm tring to organize. (I do not care who directed a movie. )
