All Discware Lite data is stored in a file named database.data. The first step in backing up your Discware Lite data is locating this file.
Click Start, Search, For Files or Folders.... Under Search For Files or
Folders Named:, type database.data. Make sure Look In is set for your local drive, usually
C:. Click Search Now.
Windows XP
Click Start, Search and click All Files and Folders. Under All or part of the file name, type database.data and click search.
The default folder for database.data is c\program files\discwarelite\. database.data .
Mac OS X
Due to changes in the software, your Discware Lite data may reside in one of two locations.
1) The database.data file is stored in /~user/Library/Application Support/DiscwareLite/ If the database.data file is not in this location, see below.
2) Open the Applications folder and find Discware Lite Control-click on Discware Lite and select Show Package Contents. Open the Contents folder, open the Resources folder, open the Java folder. Inside the Java folder, you will see file database.data.
If you are unable to locate your file, please contact us at support@discgear.com.
Please do not alter the database.data file. Changing this file may result in loss of all data. To copy the file without opening it, please right-click the file and choose Copy. Next, right-click on your desktop and select Paste.
If you are re-installing Discware Lite, please follow the above step if you wish to preserve your Discware Lite data. Once the update or re-installation is complete, open Discware Lite. If your previous data is not there, use the File, Import feature to import from the database.data backup file.

Very poor response to problems, software, discware lite, won't work with windows 7. If this had not been a gift from my daughter, I would have thrown it in the trash!!!!!!!!!

AAAARGH! I agree with one of the comments about confusing site.. Purchased a 120 hd but cannot find the link to download the software. The link shown goes to a site to download updates not the original software itself. Will try again but it seems very confusing.
